End to end. Including the part that breaks.

I studied computer engineering at Tanta University and have been at Scandiweb since 2022, working remotely with a distributed team out of Riga. Four years there has meant several client platforms rather than one, and the useful part has been how differently each was built.

Sportland, since January 2025, is the largest: a Baltic sports retailer running 12 storefronts across 5 countries and 7 languages, online and in store. It is not one codebase but several, a TypeScript React storefront, a Sanity studio for content, a middleware service, an order management app and a loyalty system, with Akeneo holding the product information. Before it, Läderach, a confectionery retailer on Magento 2 and Hyvä, where I launched the Japanese market and built the Page Builder widgets marketing now composes pages from. And Novatours, a travel platform built on Pimcore, which organises product data in a completely different way again.

Moving between them means being fluent in more than one idea of how a system should be shaped: Akeneo against Pimcore for product data, Sanity against a native CMS for content, React with TypeScript and hooks in one codebase and legacy class components with Redux in another. Outside PHP I build in Node.js and TypeScript, and I use Claude Code and the Anthropic API in real workflows rather than as a demo.
